New in the Mister Who world - Workshop and Kapow Comic con

Hey guys!

It has been a couple of crazy productive week in Mister Who land. We had our first Mister Who workshop on Monday April 4th in Copland school in Brent and it went great. We spoke to a class of 20 young men between the ages of 12-14. We have told you about the workshops before (read more here http://misterwhoblog.blogspot.com/2011/03/mister-who-workshops.html) and the kids were super engaged with loads of ideas for superheroes and super powers. The kids proved to be very creative when they presented their finished superheroes infront of the class. Needless to say, the workshop was a HUGE success and the kids couldn´t get enough of the Mister Who world.

The Mister Who team had a blast teaching the kids about animation and comics! The first workshop was a smash hit and the team is looking forward to new schools and new young souls to talk to.

Mister Who was also well greeted at Kapow Comic con that took place at the London Business Design Center in Angel April 9th - 10th. In just two days the team sold nearly 180 mister Who comics and the response from the Kapow attenders was smashing.

We also had great success with press and the team was interviews by many various blogs, forums and social media. We also got to meet Jonathan Ross and the guy behind Kick-ass and Wanted, Mark Millar. They both got an exclusive copy of the comic and we had a great chat with them. Stay tuned for interview links!

Mister Who is now hitting new corners and we believe in all certainty, that this is our year!

Stay cool

Meet the creators of Mister Who!

Hey all!!

The king of Hooks, Nate Dog, passed away on March 15th. His death was caused by a stroke, his family announced and he died in his home, at the age of 41. The Mister Who team are very sad to hear this, and therefore, thought we would have a little tribute in the blog.

Rest in peace Nate Dog, 1969 - 2011

While remembering the legacy of Nate Dog, check out this short interview with the two masterminds that together made Mister Who come true.

Take care

Mister Who Workshops

Hey Everyone

This is the team behind London´s latest super hero, updating you about the progress of the Mister Who Project!

We wanted to tell you a little bit about the workshops that we are doing in association with Mister Who.

The Mister Who team will host workshops in school all around London, speaking to the youth about the combination of story lines, music and art. The workshops will be 2 hours, and divided into 4 sessions, 30 minutes each. The first session will an informal introduction about Mister Who and how workshops benefit London youth.

Session 2 we will split the groups into preferred subjects: writing vs illustrating. Session 3 will aim to teach the students how to create a story and session 4 will be to oversee the end result (story, writing and illustration) of each team. The workshops are ment to show London youth the many options within the art and music community.

Aside from everything else Mister Who is doing (saving the world and what not) we wanted to give back something back and just let London know, that Mister Who watches over everyone.

Until next time

To all Mister Who fans - the anticipated UPDATE!

Hello Mister Who fans

The Mister Who team knows you have been dying for some information about London´s first super hero, and we are here to tell you that people have been contacted, meetings have been attended and the spring schedule has been decided!!! We have not forgotten about you and we are working hard to attract new fans!

To all you new blog followers, HELLO!! Mister Who sure is breaking ground in London and is already known as an animation project that combines music and art. This blog is to update old and new Mister Who Fans and give an insight in the work that is put in behind the production. We also want to keep you guys updated on what events Mister Who is attending this spring.

In january we had great success meeting interesting people who wanted to help launch Mister Who further. We had a meeting with AMP PR that also developed into a great cooperation leading to a student campaign. From what we hear, the students are reacting great to Mister Who and the whole idea behind it. AMP have been doing a great job reading the reactions of the students and also building awareness towards the www.misterwho.co.uk.

We also had a great meeting with Lucid PR who handle the PR for big shots like David Bowie, Willow Smith and The Fray. The meeting did not lead to any cooperation for the time being, but hopefully, Lucid will be a part of Mister Who in the future.

A TEASER TRAILER has been released!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tayo, head of animation and illustration, has been working very hard to present you with the new Mister Who teaser trailer. If you haven´t already seen it (There is no excuse for not having seen it), here it is now:

Also, some cool new music was recorded yesterday, by Rasheed who is head of creative writing and music!
He was joined by Tre Mission!

That´s all for now kids, and until next time, remember, London deserve it´s own superhero!!!! In the next entry we will tell you about the Mister Who workshops and KAPOW
